In the background, each marking point gets a proposed mark, the line of working it came from, and a reason. Unclear handwriting is flagged, not guessed.

Flagged scripts come to you first. Accept, change or reject each mark, add feedback, approve the script, then release the whole class's results together.

Tutors
- Your worksheets, your scheme. Marks follow the marking points you publish, not a generic answer key.
- Every mark shows its evidence. See the student's line of working next to the marking point it matched.
- Hard scripts come first. Low-confidence reading and unclear writing are flagged for you.
- Question analytics. Right, partly right and wrong counts for every part, with how many scripts they're based on.
Students
- Write the way they already do. Pen, highlighter, eraser and text on the worksheet, and one finger scrolls while the Pencil writes.
- Paper still counts. Photograph foolscap pages, reorder, rotate or remove them, then hand in.
- Reminders on their phone. New worksheets, due dates and released results, from the Home Screen app.
- Feedback they can use. Released marks come with the tutor's comments and the marking scheme.

Questions centres ask
What is Acadence?
Acadence is a worksheet and marking platform for Singapore tuition centres. Tutors set worksheets from their own PDFs, students answer on a phone, tablet or on paper, AI drafts the marks against the centre's marking scheme, and a tutor approves every mark before students see it.
Does the AI give students their marks?
No. The AI only proposes marks. Nothing reaches a student until a tutor has checked and approved the script, and tutors can change any proposed mark.
Which subjects does Acadence cover?
Acadence is built first for secondary Mathematics and Science, including O-Level E Math, Physics and Combined Science. Topic progress starts with the O-Level E Math syllabus.
What do students need?
A web browser. Students can write on the worksheet with an Apple Pencil, type answers, or work on foolscap and upload photos or a PDF from their phone.
Can students still hand in work done on paper?
Yes. Students photograph their foolscap or worksheet, put the pages in order, and hand them in. Answers do not need to line up with the worksheet's pages.
How is each centre's data kept separate?
Each centre runs on its own site at its own address, with its own database. Centres cannot see each other's classes, students or work.
What happens if AI marking is switched off?
Tutors keep marking by hand in the same screens. Worksheets, hand-ins, approval and release all work without the AI.
